Grocery Buyer

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing and procurement of grocery items, Source new products and suppliers for our needs, in line with our high quality standards yet keeping within budget, Search for international suppliers and trends in the hospitality industry, Establish and negotiate contracts, prices, terms and conditions, Guarantee systems for best price / value for products Maintain and improve business relationships with established supplier to assure on-time delivery, favorable pricing, etc., Supervise and develop a team of buyers and receivers, Develop and streamline processes, e.g. accessibility, availability, cost and quality assurance, Monitor and improve product cost, Oversee the distribution channels of our products, Monitor and improve supplier performance where needed, Review purchase requisitions, obtain competitive quotes and plan purchase orders, Ensure compliance, HACCP and FDA regulations are met, Manage day-to-day supplier communication, Maintain contracts and related administrative work, Liaise with internal departments, e.g. sales, inside sales…

Job Location: Commerce, CA

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years of work experience in a purchasing position
  • University Degree beneficial
  • Perfect knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • High level of quality standards
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Outgoing, hands-on mentality
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Creative, innovative approach to problems
  • Willingness to improve internal inefficiencies

National Sales

Key Responsibilities:

Work directly with the Management to plan and achieve sales target, Conduct sales and profitability analysis, Continue to expand our sales force, Hands-on product development with both domestic and overseas vendors, Negotiate buying terms with vendors (price, minimums, etc.), Work closely with the creative department to achieve the most effective catalog presentation for products, Grow business and optimize sales, profitability and service levels by partnering with vendors and inventory planning to develop seasonal buy plans and in-season replenishment strategies.
